Let me preface this post by saying that I don't consider myself a sportsman of any sort.
However, I feel compelled to address the topic after two epic kickball games. We won one and lost one, if anyone was wondering or cares. Anyways, there is always one (*at least) big-mouth on the opposing team who spews hatred and a stream of expletives. The whole time.
Now, there hasn't ever been a true brawl. Things get really heated when the games are close. Like tonight. It's hard to shake someone's hand afterwards when they've been screaming in your face and calling you/your teammates every name in the book.
I'd like to say I don't 'give in'. But that'd be a lie. We generally stay quiet until it gets ridiculous.
I'll summarize my attitude towards our opponents by quoting former Housewife of NJ, Dina Manzo:
True Blood is BACK! And it does not disappoint. This could be the craziest season yet. That witch Marnie is a force to be reckoned with. We're learning more about now King of Louisiana, Bill, and it's not good. I definitely foresee something between Sookie and Eric.
And how is Kathryn Ireland still in business? Obviously, the show is edited to only give a small glimpse into their lives. But, she could not seem more frazzled or disorganized. She's always late (which would drive me crazy) and just does not have it together. That being said, she does create beautiful spaces.
File this one under fashion trends that I will never master.
However, I can distinguish between good vs. bad.
Both ladies are fans of the trend. One just seems to consistently hit the mark and the other...doesn't. (I'm trying really hard not to hate on Ann Curry. Also, I may still be bitter about her Today Show takeover.)
*I actually don't think Ann looks that bad. She just pales in comparison to Giuliana :)
On another note, did anyone see Billy Ray Cyrus on ENews tonight? Hello, mullet! I don't know what posessed him to reinstate his signature 'do, but he needs a talking to about what decade we're living in.
Recognize that house? It's from Father of the Bride, one of my most favorite movies EVER! Could it be more idyllic? I used to watch this movie over, and over, and over. I still get excited when I see it on TV! It's currently on the market for a cool $1.5mil. Not too bad considering it's history. Check out more photos of the property on TMZ.com.
I love me some Kate Middleton! But recently, her sister has been the one grabbing headlines. From her fashion, to jetsetting lifestyle, to speculation on her love interest(s). In my opinion, Pippa is the real bachelorette.
Please tell me that some of you were lucky enough to catch the New Kids On The Block on the Today Show this morning?! Amaze.
I was obsessed with the group when I was younger. I had t-shirts, water bottles, towels, pictures- you name it. Not to mention I would routinely jam out to their concert videos. Probably in a puffy painted T and neon stirrup leggings.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Not sure I could choose a favorite designer yet, but I did really like Jeffrey Alan Marks. The cast as a whole was quite entertaining. I find it so fascinating to see all of the outlandish ideas they come up with. Hopefully, this season will include some more celeb cameos! Who was your favorite?
As for 'Platinum Hit' with Jewel and Kara DioGuardi, meh. I found it pretty uninteresting. But who knows, I may give it another go.
Bring on the sun, sand, cocktails, card games, and most importantly, relaxation! We've been coming to Kiawah for over 15 years and it's yet to lose its luster. Not only am I excited for the beach, but to spend time with my (very large) family. We've all been counting down the days and the trip will undoubtedly be a great time!
