TGIF

I'm just going to gloss over the fact that I've been MIA since.......April.......

Between moving from Charleston to Cincinnati, living with my parents for 8 months, to buying/renovating a house, and chasing around a very active toddler things have been just a tad busy around here.

Some (semi) recent happenings

My little man turned 1!

Finally became homeowners again

Had lots of girl time

Took a great vacation to Charleston & Kiawah

Visited Mark's parents in NC
Scoped out the local parks

And this a seriously edited version.
We are officially suburbanites now and while it's definitely been a change we're really enjoying it. It's so nice to have a garage (any designated parking, at that!), a yard, neighbors more than 3 feet away, and free reign to do whatever we want to the inside AND outside of our house. Having a mall and Target 5 minutes away doesn't hurt either.

Getting There...

We have made a lot of progress recently and are so close to finishing the first floor. I'll be back with before and after shots once its complete because it is quite the transformation!

Progress

Well, we are finally homeowners again!

This time we're dealing with a fixer-upper, rather than new construction. Needless to say, we (and by 'we' I mean my dad, Mark, and our contractor) have been very busy with the renovation.

There's obviously a ways to go but I'm really excited about all the finishes and things that will be going in. I just can't wait to actually live there!

A few weekends ago, I was a bridesmaid for one of my best friends. She and the wedding itself were absolutely stunning. Just total perfection...

Watching more snow fall

When will spring be here?! SO tired of the gloomy weather.

Easter

I failed, yet again, to a) use our new camera and b) get a decent pic of the 3 of us. As you can see, Tanner is on the move and wants to walk everywhere. I swear we dont sit still for a minute all day.

Big Week

First things first. A few pics of my adorable little man.

Halloween pumpkin
Costume lasted approx. .5 seconds

Brotherly love
One of a million licks a day fro Cooper. T finds it/him hilarious.

1st time at the polls!
Tanner woke up crying last night shortly after the results of the election were announced. He was mad it didn't go our way ;) Can you blame him?!

With that out of the way, we can now discuss other important event(s): Bravo's big premier week.

Oh, RHOBH, how I've missed you. I'm glad to see things haven't changed too much since last season. Lisa's still filthy rich, Kim's crazy as ever, Brandy is stirring up trouble, etc. etc. It'll be interesting to see what Yolanda brings to the mix. My initial reaction: I like her?

Of all the ladies in the RH franchise, I think it's safe to say this cast, by far, have the biggest egos. And Kenya, wow. Misery. She just seems completely terrible- can't imagine she makes many friends. Nothing amuses me more than Phaedra's foray into the funeral business. The scene at the animal hospital...I just can't....

And lastly, I have to ask, Andy Cohen, WTF?

LOLwork. Seriously?

Shameless Self-Promotion...*Condo For Sale In Downtown Charleston!*

You have been warned ;)

We are selling our condo in downtown Charleston (Hampton Park) and will be relocating to the Midwest. While we are super excited about starting this new chapter in our lives, we will be sad to part with the absolutely beautiful home we've lived in for the past 3 years. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood with all the conveniences of DT living. Read more about: the builder and surrounding area.

Stats:
built in 2009
dock/views of Ashley River at the end of street
3BR/2BA
~1125 sq. ft.
fully equipped kitchen
open floor plan
under unit storage
double porches
Pergo flooring
faux wood blinds
....and MUCH more!

We purchased the condo through the city of Charleston's first time homebuyer initiative. You can read more about the project here. This is truly the best deal to be found on the peninsula. Please feel free to email me if you or someone you know is interested in more details!

*Buyer must be first time homeowner (or hasn't owned in 3 years)*

This is a fantastic opportunity, as we have the only unit available in our community. Our family has LOVED both the house and neighborhood and are really going to miss them. But, our loss is your gain :)
