This Week's Eats

I made both of these items on Thursday for dinner/dessert. The cupcakes were a special request from Mark. Since he had been travelling all week for work, I thought I'd oblige him.

Both recipes are both from The Girl Who Ate Everything. Have you all checked out her blog? (She has much better pictures than me) It is awesome! The lady has quick, easy recipes that please everyone! These two are no exception.

Truth: It's rare that I have the time (and let's be honest, energy) to make meals like this. From work, to the gym, meetings, etc. it's hard to fit cooking a fully prepared dinner into the schedule. Also, we generally eat pretty healthily (?) during the week, so this was a treat for us.

More On Baby McCall!

First of all, thank you SO much for all of you kind words! We are absolutely thrilled to be starting this new chapter in our lives!

Can I just say how grateful I am (among many other things) for technology? Our families and friends are scattered all over the country and although we wish they could be here with us during this exciting time, iPhone pics, emails, texts, blog posts, etc. make it possible to keep everyone up to date.

Without further ado, here are all of the stats! And, of course, some obligatory bump shots......

~8/9 weeks

~19 weeks

Last night before dinner!
~22 weeks

~22 weeks

How far along: about 22 weeks
Size of baby: I'd guess a little over a 1lb. and about 10 inches (according to babycenter.com)
Gender: Yes, it's a BOY!
Maternity Clothes: I just ordered several pieces from the Gap and Old Navy- wayyyy more comfortable than squeezing into my regular stuff. And I'm sure everyone appreciates the change up from the ol' black leggings + tunic/dress/sweater.
Symptoms: I've been extremely fortunate thus far in my pregnncy and overall have been feeling pretty great. I've definitely been more exhausted than usual, but aside from that and some minor growing and stretching pains, I can't complain!
Movement: Yes! He has been really active lately, which I love! It's so comforting to feel him moving around in there.
Cravings: Nothing too crazy. I'm loving all of the Valentine's Day candy thats out right now, but I have always had a big sweet tooth. Oh, and Wendy's frosty's.
Sleep: Changes daily. Sometimes I'll be up nearly all night and just cannot fall asleep. But mostly I just wake up a few times to use the restroom.

We've started work on the baby's nursery, gotten a few of the bigger furniture pieces, and purchased some adorable duds, but there is still a lot to do- registry, child care options, pediatricians, classes, the list goes on and on! If any of you Charleston moms have reccomendations on the aforementioned items, please help a girl out!

And I Am STILL Watching The Kardashians....

As I've been watching KKTNY, I find myself searching for huge signs that Kim and Kris are headed for splitsville. However, I see no red flags signaling that it's irreparable. Perhaps there will be more in the upcoming episodes? To me, it appears that Kim simply is not interested in being married (or in any kind of relationship with 'The Dog') anymore. Kris does things that are annoying, makes a mess, and doesn't do every single thing Kim's way. I'd be curious to know exactly what she thought marriage was?! Someone needs to get a grip on reality...

Sweet belly chain though

On another note, as weird/dysfunctional as I think Kourtney's relationship is, I truly appreciate Scott's sense of humor. He has some of the best one-liner's around.

Scott Disick TV personality Scott Disick attends the IN ADD MINUS flagship store launch on November 18, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

What is his 'job' again? And how does he afford all of the outrageously expensive toys we see on the show?

A Dog's Life

(I feel certain this is what goes on all day while we're at work. )
