Friday

Can someone tell me when the Caramel Delites started being called 'Samoas'?! Is this a regional thing? Very confusing...

A few things that have brought me joy this week: 1) Girl Scout cookie sales are in full swing. The prospect of having mass quantities of thin mints and caramel delites makes me one HAPPY lady (thank you Dave and Maggie!). 2) Lunch with the ladies today! I'm looking forward to some good eats at Five Loaves DT. 3) Anything baby related. I love feeling him move around in there and be so active all day and even during the night now. AND the baby's room is painted a color that I am happy with! 4) Last but certainly not least, Mark being constantly sweet and attentive (despite my moods).

Oh, and I've been woofing these down like there's no tomorrow. I can only find them at select places and am becoming embarrassed at the amount of trips I make to purchase more. Pretty sure the cashier just pities me. Oh, well.

  1. Hmm that's weird...I've always known them as Samoas! Maybe it was a regional thing?

I can't wait to get my boxes that I ordered!

  2. Someone told me once that their have always been two companies that actually manufacturer the girl scout cookies. It might be regional, but I think each cookie has two names. Caramel Delights = Samoas, Peanut Butter Patty = Tagalong. It's confusing - I just know they're all delicious!

  4. I need to find a girl scout in chicago ASAP! I have always known them as Samoas, but apparently they changed the name because it wasn't PC or something? That's what I had heard! Have a great weekend!!
