I am not a die hard MTV viewer, but I've noticed that on nearly every single episode of Teen Mom/16 & Pregnant ALL of the girls have elaborate airbrushed nails and/or a serious set of acrylics. This seems completely ridiculous to me. How is it that they: struggle to stay in school, care for a child, and battle with their significant other, all while maintaining meticulous manicures?
Last night, as I was switching back and forth between 'Pregnant In Heels' and '16 and Pregnant', I was thinking how incredibly different, yet eerily similar the people on these shows are. I think the main characteristic shared between them is their unrealistic expectations.
*This is not a recent photo. From my extensive googling, I couldn't find a definitive answer as to whether Rosie is currently pregnant or not. Although, I am crossing my fingers for her (and my girl, Giuliana Rancic!).
so at the lake we don't get bravo or mtv - kill. me. now. i have withdrawels so so bad, but my husband is LOVING it!

ReplyDeleteI noticed it too!! Not because I even wondered about the time factor, I just thought it was a weird coincidence that they all had them.

I'm a new follower- Love this blog! I just have to tell you I made the exact same comment about the 16&pregnant/teen mom's all having perfectly manicured nails last night to my husband. They have barely any money to take care of their children, yet they can afford to keep those nail salon appointments? Ridiculous :)
